(CORD) Profile:-

CORD is a charity humanitarian not-for-profit voluntary organization established on the sixth day of August 2006 in Sudan with HAC under the number 698. No polls have been started yet!
The Message: Its message is to collectively work to mitigate the causes of sufferings and to promote the status of the poor, the orphans, the widows and the most vulnerable communities in terms of health & nutrition, water & sanitation, education and means of livelihoods. The Vision: Its vision is to exemplify the principles of justice, solidarity and charity and to apply an even distribution of wealth, resources and basic services to all needy communities without discrimination to ethnicity, gender, religion and creed. It inspires to make the poor, the refugees, and the displaced and specifically, women, children and people with disability empowered and enjoy self-reliant sustainable descent life. It strives to ensure rule of law, rational governance and democracy prevail in all communities. Operations: CORD operations are guided by the UN and International community of impartiality, equality and code of conduct. It’s also guided by due respect and compliance to the international charters and protocols on the “Human Rights”, the “Convention on the Rights of the Child”, and “Geneva Covenants on Refugees”. Intended Audience:  Female Headed Households  Widows and Orphans  Elders and Children  Street Children  School Drop Outs  People with Disabilities  Land Mines Victims  Demobilized X-Combatants  Displaced and Returnees  Refugees The Structure: The General Assembly (constituency): It is the highest body, composes of 30 members, approves projects, budgets, rules, bi-laws, directives, elect and supervises the Board of Directors (BOD) and appoints the certified auditors. The Board of Directors (BOD): Compose of seven 7 members elected by the General Assembly. The executive director by virtue is member of the BOD. Office tenure is 4 years. It represents the General Assembly, approves recruitment of personnel upon the recommendation of the executive director. The BOD appoints the executive director. It proposes the general programs and plans and supervises implementation. It proposes the budget for the General Assembly approval. The excretive director: He reports to the General Assembly and the BOD on the performance of the executive departments. Its office tenure is 4 years. S/he recommends to the BOD formation of the executive departments and their chiefs to support implementation of activities. Sources of Funding: Contributions/subscriptions of members Donations and gifts from inside and outside Sudan, on condition that they do not harm the mandate and reputation of the organization. Subsides and support from the government institutions (Zakat Chamber and DDR Commission) subject to approval of the BOD. Revenues from investment on profitable projects.
